There is a large high-spec family kitchen which is the centre hub of the property. The dining space is has been designed as the ideal setting for dinner parties or just a simple family occasion.

With the warmth of real fires within this property and views out over the village and beyond to the North Sea, you’ll know you are in a historic part of the country.

The village of Lybster is small, but beautiful with a gorgeous harbour, offering locally caught fresh crab served up in the cafe. You can nip to the post office or mini mart for local produce and newspapers. Camster Cairns and Latheronwheel harbour can be found just a few miles down the road. For those nights when you want to be looked after, there is the Portland Arms Hotel, serving meals both in the bar and restaurant.

Wick is just 13 miles drive and 20 miles to Thurso. There are many hillwalking and climbing opportunities in the area as well as moutain biking through Rumster Forest. Horse riding can be arranged in nearby Halkirk. There is world class salmon fishing, trout fishing in lochs and sea angling by arrangement, and a 9 hole golf course for those who want to keep their eye in.
